Passion and Purpose
Sister’s Keeper is an organization that supports youth in vulnerable neighbourhoods in Toronto. The organization’s mission is to help young atheles play basketball at a competitive level, while fostering personal development both on and off the court. This is done through sharpening overall mental and physical health, social interaction and developing leadership skills for participants through engaging educational and recreational programs.
Lead by the Canadian Sisters Keeper u16 Team, the day features skill development, drills and workshops for almost 500 children, plus an opportunity for SK to play against.

YOUTH IN CHARGE
SK participates in this youth group that promotes a healthy lifestyle through social media with initiatives like the Selfie
Project, (which helps youth document their progress through positive self-images) and Water Does Wonders, which encourages nutrition in low income areas.

CLIPPERS & COMBS
In collaboration with The Beauty Supply Warehouse holds regular events for low income families to encourage their motto of Look Good, Feel Good, Do Better.
Their events provide free haircuts and braids to parents, youth and children to enhance how they feel in their everyday performance.

CANADA SCHOOL DRIVE
SK has experience in raising donation for schools right here in Toronto. This year, they helped organize a drive to donate 150 bags with school supplies and free clothing for back to school. This initative helped support low-income families by proviing peer support and exposure to role models

About Us
Founded by Patrick Shaw in 2012, the team has gone undefeated for the past 2 years and was named the U15 Adidas Silver Gauntlet Champion in 2017.
Now these young women are ready to pay-it-forward by showing the world they are force to be reckoned with on and off the court initiatives.
